Public toilet pods for the City of Paris

JCDecaux

All street furniture for the City of Paris has been designed for JC Decaux. The design of 400 individual public toilets for Paris was developed at the same time as the installations for the Vélib' city bicycles. Planned for 15 years, they replied to the brief that they should not appear intrusive, and less still aggressive, on the already congested pavements. The colour, material and lighting were considered to achieve a look as natural as possible, while accuentating the impression of hygiene (white stone walls, green-coloured ceiling, plentiful natural light and drinking-water fountain).
